COMMUNITY AND FUNCTIONALITY. The CrossFit community often becomes like a second family. As a Soldier and mom, having that support system is incredibly valuable because you connect with people who understand the challenges of balancing fitness, career, and family life, offering encouragement and camaraderie. The functional movements in CrossFit improve overall strength and energy, which have allowed me to feel more capable during workouts but also have the stamina to keep up with the demands of motherhood Soldiering, or everyday life—whether it’s lifting my kids, carrying my work equipment, or picking up my groceries.
